I have based my calculations on a paper called Investigation and comparison of optical gain spectra of (Al,In)GaN laser diodes emitting in the 375 nm to 470 nm spectral range. 1007/s10825-016-0894-2 Self-consistent quantum drift-diffusion model for multiple quantum well IMPATT diodes. The central portion of the curve is the Coulomb potential V(x) = Z 1 Z 2 e 2 /x where x is the distance between the nuclear centers and the product of the charges is Z 1 Z 2 e 2. 3: Free Uyghur. l Quantum well subbands are solved to accurately compute the carrier concentrations and optical gain. For a one millimeter long device, a simulation of half a microsecond (2 × 10 4 mode-locked pulses at a 40 GHz repetition rate) is done in 10 min on a standard PC with parameters typical of III-V semiconductor quantum well lasers. In semiconductors, such potential wells are called "quantum wells".
